Hotel Emona Aquaeductus
If you are planning a trip to Rome, just imagine a real early 20th century cottage in the historic centre: a secluded and quiet "retreat" that will start seducing you in the garden, with statues looking down on you as you make your way up to the entrance; the Lounge , with its unique furnishings, is a tribute to sobriety and lightness, including our "butterfly", the particular Sicilian Liberty dresser; and still more in all rooms and public areas, containing many paintings by a Roman artist with their amused detachment from things.
Hotel Emona Aquaeductus is a small, charming 4-star hotel, authentic custodian of an era - the suggestive "Belle Époque"- and one of Rome's most original hotels that is appreciated for its intimate and cosy atmosphere. If you are looking for modern and contemporary accommodation, this is probably not the place for you.

Having taken the winding avenue of the entrance to Hotel Emona Aquaeductus, across the garden and crossing the threshold of the "cottage”, you will immediately find the old counter that serves as reception; it was once adorned by a coat of arms. You will be welcomed by our staff, who are always available and attentive, ready to assist you and make your trip to Rome a pleasant one.
Immediately after that is the unexpected and large open space of days gone by , just waiting to be explored: the great hall-lounge which is the convivial heart of Hotel Emona Aquaeductus, with masonry pavilion vaults that serve as cover for the most representative environments and were already being used in Roman architecture in the 1st century BC, exposed arches and polychrome marble floors; then the breakfast room, the "diVino" bar and the relaxation area follow one another in a continuous flow, creating intriguing spaces reserved for conversation or reading.
With seasonal flowers, antique furniture, paintings and artwork, the hall-lounge is also the place to relax with a cup of tea or coffee: the meeting space for pleasant conversation and sharing of your day in Rome with other guests, surfing the Internet with free Wi-Fi or sipping a drink in a charming atmosphere under the romantic mood lighting of our boutique hotel.

Located in Via Statilia 23, facing the aqueduct built by Emperor Nero to supply the Domus Aurea, Hotel Emona enjoys a fortunate setting, nestled in the midst of archaeological sites to be discovered close to Porta Maggiore, the place where the eight aqueducts supplying Rome with water converged, just a few minutes from the A-line "Manzoni" underground station, from where all the major attractions can be reached: Colosseum, Trevi Fountain, Spanish Steps, St. Peter's Basilica and the Vatican Museums.
